    Theatre Guide

    This section houses all our upcoming shows, productions, concerts and performances. Most of these events are in our main auditorium. You are able to sort by type of performance, for your convenience.

    Chequer Mead is home to various fitness and dance classes, singing groups and theatre companies which are all listed here.

    Many clubs and organisations hold their meetings and events at Chequer Mead. Here you’ll find all the information you’ll need about the variety of events at the theatre.

    Facilities at Chequer Mead

    At the heart of Chequer Mead is our purpose built, 320 seat theatre which is fully equipped with a full range of modern supporting facilities. In addition to the main house, we have a range of multi-purpose spaces ideal for corporate meetings, rehearsals, private functions, classes and events. We can comfortably cater for any number of people between 10 and 320.

A spiritual evening - with Derek Acorah

Britains favourite male Medium, Derek Acorah, returns to Chequer Mead on Friday 30th September at 7:30pm, for an evening of spiritual mediumship.

His friendly and sincere delivery, down to earth charm and obvious dedication to his work has endeared Derek to tens of thousands of people, many of whom regularly attend these amazing live events.

Our in-house caterers, the Lodge will be offering pre-show dinners, making your evening extra special.  Pre-booking is essential, so please contact the Lodge for further details on: 01342 323516.
