Programming and Office Administrator Vacancy

Chequer Mead Community Arts Centre is currently recruiting for the role of Programming and Office Administrator.

Chequer Mead Community Arts Centre in East Grinstead hosts over 250 events per year both in the main auditorium and throughout the venue. The theatre offers a mixed programme of professional and community events and hosts many other events throughout the centre. In addition the venue shows selected films and performances streamed live and hosts special cinema events.

We are currently looking to recruit a part time programming and office administrator (18hrs). This position is primarily managing all of our room and theatre bookings and hirers ensuring they receive a high quality service, their needs are met and communicated to the rest of the team. In addition to this, the position includes other front of house and office-based tasks to be completed as is reasonably required to assist the venue’s smooth running. The successful candidate would also be asked to commit to a 6hr duty manager shift on one evening/weekend per week, this is not essential, however, every candidate should be open to occasional evening and weekend work. Training is provided where necessary.

Type: Part time (18hrs)

Salary: £19,000 - £22,000 pro rata, based upon experience.
