Arsenal Legends in Conversation

< Back to Whats On

Please note: This event is in the past and is available as a reference only.

Amassing more than 900 appearances in the red and white of The Gunners between them, three Arsenal legends are coming to town to talk about their action-packed football careers. . .

Legendary midfielder Ray Parlour – affectionately dubbed “The Romford Pele” by Arsenal supporters; fellow double-winner, left-back Nigel Winterburn, and fans favourite Perry Groves - now a radio presenter - will discuss the games, dressing room/training ground stories, managers, fall outs and everything you wanted to know about playing for a successful football club.

There will be a chance to pose questions to the stars during the evening.

VIP tickets are also available. These afford the opportunity for a meet and greet with the stars and a photo opportunity before the show. Due to limited availability, ticket purchasers should check this out at the box office when booking.

*Please note players are available at time of booking but their schedule could change*

339 appearances, 32 goals between 1992 and 2004

Ray Joined as a trainee and spent 14 years with Arsenal.

He won a Cup Winners’ Cup runner-up medal in 1995 and blossomed following the arrival of Arsene Wenger the following year, being part of The Double-winning teams of the ’97 to ’98 and ’01 to ’02 seasons. In the 2002 FA Cup Final he famously scored a 30-yard screamer against Chelsea. His trophy tally with Arsenal includes three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, one League Cup and one European Cup Winners’ Cup.

155 appearances, 21 goals between 1986 and 1992

Perry joined Arsenal in September 1986, becoming the first acquisition by new manager George Graham. In his first season at the club he helped set up Charlie Nicholas for the winner in the 1987 League Cup final, dribbling past three Liverpool players before laying off the ball.

Noted for his enthusiasm and hard work, he started most of Arsenal's games in the 1987–88 season partnering Alan Smith. He made 21 appearances in Arsenal's title-winning 1988–89 season.

440 appearances, eight goals between 1987 and 2000

Arsenal’s ever-present left-back during the late Eighties and throughout the Nineties, formed the Gunners’ legendary back line of Tony Adams, Lee Dixon, David O’Leary (and latterly Steve Bould).

He delivered the free kick for Alan Smith to score the first goal in Arsenal’s famous must-win-by-two-goals, last-game-of-the-season 1989 triumph against Liverpool at Anfield which saw them win the league title.

During the previous game he had scored perhaps the finest goal of his career, driving the ball into the top corner from 25 yards in a 2-2 draw against Wimbledon, setting up that famous final day Anfield victory which delivered the title. During his career, Nigel collected the full set of league, FA Cup and League cup medals
