Imberhorne School presents “An Evening of Dance”, celebrating talented dancers throughout the school. The show includes a collection of choreographies produced by GCSE dance students, dances performed by Lower and Upper School dance clubs and an appearance from our mixed 6th form dance troop – ‘Imberbeat’.

A NIGHT OF QUEEN
|
The Bohemians re-enact the glory days of Queen including the ‘Craziness’ of the 70’s and the ‘Magic’ of the 80’s. Formed in 1996, The Bohemians perform all over the world and are one of the longest standing Queen Tribute acts. The Bohemians bring their own blend of fun, high-energy playing, costumes and showmanship to the stage. This has earned them the reputation as ‘The World’s Most Exciting Queen Tribute Act’. The band also have an array of authentic Queen stage costumes from the Crazy Tour of the late 1970’s through to the famous yellow jacket of the Magic tour in the 1980s.

HAZEL O’CONNOR & THE BLUJA PROJECT

Award winning singer / songwriter HAZEL O’CONNOR teams up with legendary performers saxophonist CLARE HIRST (Bellestars, Communards, David Bowie) and pianist/vocalist SARAH FISHER (Eurythmics, Sax In The City). The trio perform a mixture of O’Connor originals re-interpreted to fit the acoustic line-up of sax, piano and vocals and classics. The repertoire includes standards such as Summertime, Stormy Weather, God Bless The Child in addition to many of Hazel’s hit tunes including “Will You, Decadent Days, Driftwood, Blackman.” The superb blend of the three voices adds a sweet touch of class to their vibrant performance.

John has been singing in local choirs for many years being a founder member of Concordia and The Weald Choir of Crawley. He has sung with Bel Canto Opera, Crawley and East Grinstead Operatic Societies and Company of Friends. His first big solo venture was singing bass solos in Handel’s Messiah for St. Catherine’s Hospice with choirs from Crawley, East Grinstead, Worth and Reigate. A popular local singer, he also sings with Choirpower and the U3A Choir of East Grinstead.

Lizzie graduated from Royal Holloway University of London with a BMus (Hons) degree in Music, with a specialty in harp performance. Alongside her studies, she took on the role of principal harpist in both the Royal Holloway Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, performing in numerous concerts. Lizzie has also provided harp music at a variety of venues, including Wentworth Golf Club, and the Savill Gardens in Windsor.
