WW1 Art Competition Winners
Categories: Other
Our thanks go to all the young people who entered our WW1 Art Competition - The War Through A Young Person's Eyes. We had over 50 entries and the standard was excellent, giving a fascinating insight to young people's interpretation of WW1 and war in general. The competition was judged on Monday 4th August by Town Mayor Nick Hodges and his wife Lucy.
It was decided that due to the high number of entries in th 10-12 age group there would be two runner up prizes in that cateogory.
the results were as follows:
10-12 Years Age Group
Winner: Thomas Jenkins Aged 10
Runner Up: Millie David Aged 11
Runner Up: Jamie Bland Aged 10
13-15 Years Age Group
Winner: Olivia Golton Aged 15
16-18 Years Age Group
Winner: Alice Bindloss Aged 17
Congratulations to the winners, and everyone who took part, providing a wonderful exhibition for the town.
We will be in contact with the winners to inform them and arrange for them to be presented with their prizes
